Hiroshi Nagai
Born in Tokushima City in 1947.
After working as a graphic designer, he has been active as a freelance illustrator since 1978.
His characteristic is his tropical and clear landscape illustrations, as exemplified by the record jackets of Eiichi Ohtaki's "A LONG VACATION" and "NIAGARA SONGBOOK". His
publications include CBS Sony Publishing's "A LONG VACATION" (1979) and "HALATION", and Shogakukan's "NIAGARA SONGBOOK" (1982).
He received a gold disc from CBS Sony as a "Special Album Jacket Award" for his work on the album jacket for Eiichi Ohtaki's "A LONG VACATION." His style has carved out a unique reputation, and he has worked on record jackets for many artists, including Matsuoka Naoya, Fujiwara Hiroshi and Kawabe Hiroshi, Sugiyama Kiyotaka, the AOR compilation breeze series, Teen Runnings, ikkubaru, Sunny Day Service, and KASHIF. He
is now active in many fields, not just illustration, but also design, DJing, and music criticism.

1947年、徳島市生まれ。
グラフィックデザイナーを経て、1978年よりフリーのイラストレーターとして活躍。
大瀧詠一の「A LONG VACATION」「NIAGARA SONGBOOK」などのレコードジャケットに代表されるトロピカルでクリアな風景イラストレーションが特徴。
出版物にCBSソニー出版「A LONG VACATION」(79年)、「HALATION」、小学館「NIAGARA SONGBOOK」(82年)。
大瀧詠一のアルバムジャケット「A LONG VACATION」では、CBSソニーより、「アルバムジャケット特別賞」として、ゴールドディスクを受賞。その作風は独自の地位を築き、 マツオカナオヤ、藤原ヒロシと川辺ヒロシ、杉山清貴、AORコンピレーションbreezeシリーズ、Teen Runnings、ikkubaru、サニーデイ・サービス、KASHIFなど多くのアーティストのレコードジャケットを飾っている。
