"Cafe Apres-midi Meets Studio Ghibli" is a compilation of newly recorded covers of famous Studio Ghibli movie songs, supervised and curated by Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA), who has produced many popular compilations such as the "Free Soul," "Cafe Apres-midi," "Mellow Beats," "Good Mellows," "Jazz Supreme," "Ongaku no Aru Fukei," "Incense Music," and "Chillout Breeze" series. It is presented with the ultimate collaboration of artwork by FJD and mastering by Calm. Pre-release digital singles, CD & digital albums, 7-inch singles, and LPs are all scheduled for successive release from spring to summer 2026!

 For this work, twelve artists, who have close ties to Shibuya's Cafe Apres-midi, have newly recorded covers of famous Ghibli movie songs selected by Toru Hashimoto, with exquisite direction based on the theme of "the happiness of an afternoon coffee." Among the many Ghibli cover collections produced to date, this collection boasts exceptional quality and is a special masterpiece.

The album (CD/LP) and six 7-inch singles, totaling seven works, feature jacket designs by FJD, which are wonderfully striking. They use illustrations created by a painter & animator who works on Ghibli films, depicting the scenery of Cafe Apres-midi with a gradation from 1 PM to 7 PM. The mastering, meticulously crafted by Calm for its sound image, is also outstanding, completing a superb official Cafe Apres-midi × Studio Ghibli compilation.
