Isao Suzuki - Samba Club (LP)

SPIN THIS NOW 2026 pressing!

**Preorder expected late late December 2026 or early January 2027

This is the 2nd edition of the first ever reissue of Isao Suzuki's Self-Portrait.  The first release was black and this edition is on the audiophile quality colorless "Pure Vinyl" version. I expect this to sound fantastic.

Fans of the SPIN THIS NOW series will remember that two of Isao Suzuki's albums kicked off the series before it had an announced name.  Self-Portrait and Samba Club are the real beginnings of this series which has showcased a ton of out of print Jazz titles.

The 1980 solo album by legendary jazz bassist Isao Suzuki, who has earned worldwide acclaim, is set to be repressed in a new heavyweight pure clear vinyl edition! Created entirely by Suzuki himself through extensive multitrack recording, the album layers an extraordinary range of instruments, including double bass, Hammond organ, vocoder, Taisho koto, and erhu, together with his own vocals. Suzuki handled not only the composition and performances, but also the jacket artwork and liner notes, making this an extraordinary one-man album that literally brings together and embodies every aspect of Isao Suzuki.
