【6】Ryo Fukui Trio - Live at Vidro '77 [Pure Vinyl](180g 2LP)

Swirling heat, bursting passion. An unknown, utterly “unarmored” Ryo Fukui is here.
A completely unreleased live recording that also became the catalyst for the birth of “Mellow Dream.”

To think that Ryo Fukui left behind a recording like this. A fully unreleased live performance recorded on June 8, 1977. The recording was made at the Sapporo live house Bidoro by producer Masataka Ito, who also worked on Fukui’s “Scenery” and “Mellow Dream.” It is indeed the Fukui trio of that era, yet it carries an overwhelming heat and freshness absent from the studio recordings―thrilling beyond words. The 16-minute, searing “Mellow Dream” needs no introduction, and it is joined by the surging “Speak Low,” the glossy, beautifully spun “Body & Soul,” the fast-running “Love For Sale,” the weighty “Mr. P.C.,” and the spilling tenderness of “My Foolish Heart”―a breathtaking set of performances as if in a fever. At the time, excerpts from this live recording were recognized at the Trio Records head office, leading to the production of Fukui’s second album “Mellow Dream.” A truly precious recording in every sense.

Made-in-Japan quality now drawing global attention.
Lavishly pressed on “uncolored virgin vinyl,” completely free of pigments such as carbon that can affect sound quality. Using only high-purity straight PVC as the raw material and increasing the record weight to 180g, it achieves stable rotation and a richly spacious soundstage.
A “180g heavyweight / pure vinyl” pressing that lets you fully enjoy a razor-sharp sound image.
