The 30th-anniversary edition of Sunny Day Service's "Tokyo" drew a huge response as soon as it was announced. Now, "Ajisai," a track from the album, is set to be released as a single for the first time. The strictly limited-edition 7-inch vinyl will be released on December 5 as part of "Record Day 2026 Day 2."

With its striking acoustic groove, "Ajisai" is one of the album's standout young soul numbers. It remains one of Sunny Day Service's signature songs, still performed live today and especially popular among listeners. The B-side features "96tsubu No Namida(Country Version)." Both tracks have been newly mastered and cut at Studio Columbia for this release, giving the sound even greater vividness.

For the jacket artwork, Keiichi Sokabe boldly reworked an image from artist Seiichi Hayashi's celebrated work "Red Colored Elegy," creating an entirely new visual. "Red Colored Elegy," a story that had a major influence on Sunny Day Service, meets the lush lyricism of "Ajisai" in 2026, resulting in a special piece of artwork.

A special release bringing together music and artwork in vivid fashion, closing out 2026, the 30th-anniversary year of "Tokyo."
